From October 20-22, 2022, Sam hosted the Icebreaker Activities and Farewell Party of the 2022 Global Youth Trends Forum: Metaverse, organized by the Youth Development Administration of the Ministry of Education in Taiwan. This forum invited students from around the world to participate in lectures and discussion about global digitalization and the impacts and challenges brought on by technology in young people’s lives.
During the Icebreakers, Sam led activities to help the forum participants feel more comfortable in the space and make deeper connections with each other. Sam's vision was to foster a safe space where the participants felt comfortable voicing their opinions and making friendships. For the Farewell Party the following day, Sam hosted games that allowed the participants to relax and have fun after a busy few days of discussions and presentations. At the end, Sam led them in a discussion activity to help them unpack the events of the forum. When students were invited onstage to share their thoughts, many said Sam's hosting was the most fun part of the forum!
